“Fairness is the basis of a number of things in human relations and I like finding it in all situations. At Aspena it is like that,” says Matúš Kováč, who works as a sales manager.

As I am a “sales rep”, I spend most of my working time searching for new, and meeting potential, customers. I look for clients on the Internet; I speak to them at fairs, business missions or cooperation markets.

How I googled my way to Aspena.

Three clicks on the web, job offers, Aspena - that’s looks good, I'm in! After all, they won’t just call me on their own. A couple of job interviews later and here I am!
I really needed a change. I needed to change my job, which was no longer fully satisfying, and at the same time I wanted to move forward in my career, to learn something new. In hindsight, I look back on this decision as one of the best in recent years.

What do I actually do?

I invest most of my working time into finding new customers and meeting potential customers. After all, I am a “sales guy”. I look for clients on the web, I approach them at trade fairs, business missions or cooperation exchanges. There are endless possibilities. Simply put, I find contacts wherever I can. I only stop doing this for a while if I’m compiling a quote for a customer who has expressed interest and said they would really like this service. Then I just concentrate on the calculation. It's an important step that shouldn’t to be spoiled by a moment’s inattention.

What can I highlight?

Everybody probably expects me to write all these nice things about the company, about my colleagues, superlative on superlative. But it's really true. I felt a sense of fairness from my very first interviews. Fairness is the basis of many things in interpersonal relationships and I myself like to find it in every situation. That’s how things work at Aspena. The same meter helps maintain fairness and thereby good collegial relations, which makes Aspena a great company in my eyes. And it's nice that they pay.

I love it.

That's probably the keystone. I’m glad this is the case and that I’m aware of it. The work of a sales representative is varied, and I enjoy its multifaceted nature, the fact that every working day is different from the previous one. I enjoy going to meetings, meeting new people, responding to their questions and requests, and informing them about Aspena's products and services, and the high level of service. If I didn't believe in it myself, I wouldn't be able to offer it. And the customer would expose me.
Going to a business meeting and getting out of the office is often very pleasant. All the experts say that you shouldn't sit at a computer for long periods of time anyway, and according to the Ergonomics in the Office, Part 6, my monitor positioned correctly anyway.

The added value of my new job.

Where do I see it? In my personal life. At Aspena, I have perfected the concept that you really have to deal with things right away and not put anything off for even five minutes. I assume you’ve heard statements of this type before, and I do not want to moralise. But they really are worth mentioning. This has been confirmed for me at work many times, and I now see myself translating this work experience into activities pertaining to my personal life. I don't mean to say I was a complete mess, but I have a much higher success rate now. Just keep it that way and it'll be fine.

I plan to continue.

Although I don't know if I will be able to place the monitor in the correct position required by the manual, I will definitely not stop attending the meetings. I decided to work in the business world four years ago and if I do something or dedicate myself to something, I never want to just give up on it. It would be a shame.
