In simultaneous interpreting, speech is interpreted as the speaker is speaking. This type of interpreting is chosen for conferences, lectures, presentations and similar events - generally those with a greater number of participants. Our interpreters, located in interpreting booths, translate the speech into the required languages, from which participants may choose using in their headphone sets. Simultaneous translation is also provided without interpreting equipment by whispering into the ear of the recipient, a technique called ‘chuchotage’ (from the French) or ’whispered interpreting’.
